I’ve been playing games all my life–board games, card games, video games, role-playing games, I love them all! And while I’ve been called “creative” when it comes to my poker play, the game that really engages my energies are role-playing games (live action or tabletop), which I’ve been playing in or running since high school.

Creating a character for a game can be like creating a character for a book–you learn what they look like, what drives them, how they react under pressure, etc. Which means creating a whole campaign for others to play in is like writing a novel: you’re making a story filled with wonder and mystery for the players to discover.

While I don’t play RPGs as much as I used to, they still inspire me to create new worlds for people to explore. Check back to this section from time to time to see what I’m working on!
